Printree Orders

Here are some instructions on how to order fabric from Printree. Their website can be a bit confusing, so it is helpful to review this page before you place an order. To find my design, click here for the American Hitty Sampler or type “Hitty” in the Search icon. From left to right, the icons are: Search, Logout, My Page and Shopping Cart.

Design Info

At the bottom of the page you will see my shop name, “Frendi,” followed by information about the “American Hitty Sampler.”

Twill Fabric Recommended. Set of 6 different prints scaled for 6” tall dolls, described below.

Calico Roses Red: white roses on red background
Hitty’s Cradle Quilt: red, white and blue patterned faux quilt with Hitty’s name in red on white squares

Note: Printree will not refund your purchase based on color differences between what you see on your monitor and the actual fabric you receive. Don’t worry about this. I have already tested the “American Hitty Sampler.” Printree’s fabric seems more consistent that other companies, and the quality is excellent.

Step 1: Select Fabric Type

The “100% Cotton” box is highlighted. Below that, you will see a drop-down menu. The default choice is “Plain Weave” which is their standard cotton fabric. You need to change this to “Twill.”

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!! If you don’t change it, your “American Hitty Sampler“ will be printed on the wrong type of fabric.

After you choose Twill (w:43 x h:36) from the drop-down menu, it will appear under the heading for “Selected Fabric.” This design is sized to fit on exactly one yard of Printree’s regular Twill. They also have a wider version, but it costs more and takes longer to print, so make sure you get the regular 43” x 36” size.

Step 2: Select Quantity

The default selection is “Fat Quarter.” You will need to check “1 Yard(s)” to get the complete design. Change the “Quantity” if you want more than one yard. Otherwise, leave it set to “1.”

You will know the setting is correct because the fabric window will now show the whole design instead of a partial design.

Step 3: Select Options

Do not change anything under “Zoom In / Zoom Out / Rotation” or “Options.” You don’t need to select finished edges, since you will be cutting the design apart anyway.

Step 4: Buy It Now

When you are ready to check out, click on “Buy It Now” to order the fabric.

Step 8: Confirm and Pay

Next you will see the TOTAL COST FOR ONE YARD, which includes standard shipping plus a “Design cost.” I receive a portion of this as my commission for the purchase. Thanks for your support!

A note about Printree reward points: To earn points you need to make an account and login before checking out. I found this process to be confusing, so I won’t show it here. But if you think you will be buying lots of fabric from them, it might be better to try making an account before you purchase.

Click the black box that says “Confirm and pay” to complete your order.

You are done!

Ordering Info

Printree orders take several days to process and print. They do not give any notifications until the design has shipped. It have found that it usually takes a couple weeks to receive the fabric I ordered, but it can take as much as a month. This is one of the disadvantages of Printree, but sadly, there isn’t much you can do about it.

Customer service

Defective items must be reported to Printree within 7 days of delivery. I had an issue with an order being printed on the wrong type of fabric. They were able to resolve this for me, but it took quite a while. If you have any problems, you can email them at info@printree.net.
